Writing Tip of the Day
Another way to think of plotting a novel, whether romance or any other genre, is in the context of a "quest" story. The main character leaves her/his normal lifestyle to seek something of importance, encounters trials and tribulations along the way, and finally triumphs because she/he has been proven worthy of winning--or of attaining a happy ending.
