I am embarrassed to say I've never read one of your books. Terrible thing to admit since I am a voracious reader. I got several B&N gift cards for Christmas and I plan to remedy that situation very soon.
Great tip about characters. A sense of humor is key no matter what genre you're writing. And of course, in relationships in general I think it is vital to be able to laugh at yourself and the situation.
